Focus in rounds. Sink a little deeper each time.
GetKraken is a Pomodoro timer at heart: focus, take a short break, repeat, and rest properly after a few rounds. The deep just makes it worth coming back to.
Name your prey.
The task you're hunting. Give each one its own dive length, or use your usual. One minute to four hours.
Dive.
The timer runs and your Kraken sinks. The longer you stay, the deeper he goes and the stranger the water gets.
Breathe.
Your break starts by itself. Dive again soon after and he carries on down from where he was.
Haul up the chest.
Dives in a row make one descent, and a descent brings up one chest: at the long break, or whenever you surface.
Eight zones, all the way down.
Ten minutes in all reaches the Twilight Zone. An hour reaches the Hadal Trench. Some places only the most patient captains will ever see.
One chest per descent. The deeper, the better.
Ten minutes of focus earns a treasure, and every 25 minutes after that adds another. The chest itself changes as you go deeper. Even a short five-minute dive can bring up a small chest once a day.

A whole sea to fill your Lair with.

120 treasures.
Sailors' keepsakes, drowned regalia, things that should not exist. Every one painted, every one with a story, and none of them for sale. You earn them all.

And junk.
Not everything down there is treasure. Old boots, bent forks, the odd sock. They pile up too, and some of them have opinions.

Your Lair.
Open the chest and the hoard spills across the cave floor. Sweep through it, swirl it into a whirlpool, tap anything to look closer.

Sea life.
Over forty creatures drift past while you dive, from firefly squid to things the deep keeps to itself. Spot them all for the Bestiary.

The Sunken Market.
Every minute of focus earns Seaweed. Spend it on new Lairs, depth gauges and perks like streak freezes.

Bedtime.
Tuck him in when you go to sleep. Let the bedtime timer run to the end and a Dreamer's chest is waiting in the morning.
From the surface to the hoard.

Fair, calm, and yours.
Staying pays.
Longer focus reaches deeper water and better chests. Splitting a long session into lots of short ones doesn't game it.
No ads, ever.
No banners, no videos, nothing interrupting a dive. Just you, the task and the deep.
Treasure is earned.
No treasure can be bought. What's in your hoard is there because you sat down and did the thing.
Zero Distraction.
Tap the bell at the top of the screen and everything goes quiet. No sounds except one soft chime when a dive ends, no sea life swimming past, no pop-ups, no light shows. Just the Kraken and the clock. Tap it again and everything comes back the way you had it.
Barnaby Pinch minds the Market.
He'll sell you a new Lair for your Seaweed. Treasure, he insists, you'll have to find yourself.
Three hundred years on this wreck, and still nobody wants the left boot.
He sleeps when you do.
Set a bedtime timer and he curls up beside his hoard, with a soft sea to fall asleep to. Make it to the end and there's a Dreamer's chest waiting in the morning. One a night.
Before you dive.
Is GetKraken free?
Yes. It's free to download, with no ads and no account.
Is it a Pomodoro timer?
Yes. Focus sessions with short breaks, and a long break after a few rounds (four by default). You choose the lengths, and breaks can start by themselves.
Where is my information kept?
On your iPhone. GetKraken collects nothing and has no account or servers. Read the privacy policy.
Can I buy treasure?
No. Treasures can only be found by diving. Seaweed, which you earn by focusing, buys things like new Lairs in the Sunken Market.
What if I leave the app during a dive?
Your dive keeps going and counts. If you'd like a little extra push, turn on Hold the Line: stay in the app for the whole dive and you find an extra treasure.
Is it OK for kids?
Yes. GetKraken is made for the whole family and has no ads, no chat and no account. The art is dark and mysterious, but family-friendly.
What if I get a new phone?
Use Settings → Keep your treasures safe → Back up my save, then Restore a backup on the new phone. More help.
Does it work on iPad?
Not yet. GetKraken is made for iPhone first.
